We are absolutely delighted to share that our perspective article, "Why Foot-and-Mouth Disease-Free with Vaccination Should Be Equivalent to Foot-and-Mouth Disease-Free without Vaccination," has been published in Veterinary Sciences!
Our publication highlights why distinguishing between the two FMD-free statuses is outdated and could even entail more risks than benefits. We therefore believe that the 'FMD-free with vaccination' status should be considered rather as 'FMD-free with active prevention' status.
We hope that this publication will contribute to an informed, fact-based discussion within the community.
